Wow! Thanks a lot for sharing your experience with God, particularly on developing a relationship and having fellowship with God.

I've been a Christian for more than 20 years too. Though not consistently "behaving" as one, the past 5 years or so I have been going consistently to church - attending Bible Studies, completing a church course, involved in leading and joining small groups, teaching Sunday School, at times witnessing. However, "suddenly" I have been discontent and dissatisfied. I really don't know why. I tried to plug it with different godly activities, but still it was there. Lately, I couldn't sleep well at night, I usually wake-up very early in the morning. I also had a lot of problems and concerns that no one - not even the church or others could solve. Not even me, parents, relatives, my boss, or whoever.

"I know there's something wrong somewhere!" I always thought. And the Lord slowly revealed to me that it has something about my relationship, fellowship, and most important - knowing Him ( (And I have ignored it for several times, this is how stubborn and insensitive I am. I just want to do my own thing, mainly sticking with my "service" to God.)

The Lord also used the devotional "Experiencing God" by Henry and Richard Blackaby to "see" my current situation, and where I should be - and that is being closer, and knowing the Lord on a personal, deeper level - on a daily basis, and it is not based on a "list of do's."

I was just searching about relationships (as I'm not really the "sociable" type of person), when I read about your testimony. I strongly believe that God led me to read your story and reveal to me what He desires from my relationship with Him. Your testimony serves as a confirmation.

Learning about this has really brought me peace, inspite of the "so very beyond me" circumstances that I'm really in right now. I'm also beginning to have joy, knowing and sensing now that the Lord is ever so close. I was just reminded of accounts in the Bible of Christians sleeping in the midst of a storm - just like Jesus literally sleeping in the boat when there was a storm, or Paul and Silas singing in prison even after being physically punished. Also, the story of Job (which is a book I really "avoid" because of the agony he has gone through) has never been so relevant to me now. Thanks for sharing on Job too.

I pray that each an everyone will have a truly personal fellowship experience with the Lord. This time really knowing Him and enjoying His presence.

God bless!
