Rhonda, what is the best position for practicing meditation?
1Hi Peggy,
2The best position is the most comfortable, but also one that will keep you alert and awake. 1)Many people find sitting in a chair the most comfortable. In order to keep your back in straight alignment try placing a cushion on the chair and sit more towards front of the chair. You want your pelvis to tilt slightly forward and down. 2) Another comfortable position is to place a pillow on the ground and sit on it, then bend both legs in front of you. Next, bring your right foot in towards your thigh letting your knee fall to ground. Then place your left foot in front of the right (not quite cross legged but close.) 3) Another position is to kneel and then place a pillow between your legs and buttocks and then sit back on the pillow. This one may not be good if you lack flexibility or have knee problems. Experiment with what feels most comfortable for you.
Hi there Rhonda, have just been exploring whether there is a Christian meditation group in Christchurch, New Zealand, my home city, and am thrilled to know that St Lukes in The City, which isn’t far from my home in the suburb of St Albans, runs a 10 week course based on John Main’s teachings, and is part of the WCCM. I’m glad that you have so many Christian affirmation and meditation cds for sale, I intend to purchase a whole lot of them. Presumably you are open to answering any queries I may have about the practice, having a local group will certainly help. Bt the way, is there any order in which we should use the different meditation cds, I noticed some of them are numbered.
3Keep up the good work

Hi Phil,
4Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog. There really isn’t any particular order to listening to the meditations; however, if you are new to Biblical meditation I generally encourage getting my first Cd produced, Control Negative Thoughts which also includes, Quieting a Restless Mind, and Morning Devotion. These I guess are the foundational meditations of this ministry. Very soon I will be launching the Christian Meditation of the Month Club where I will send subscribers 2 meditations per month along with applicable lessons. Hope that answers your question.
Ronda,
I love what you’re doing and
love you for having the courage
to bring the practice of meditation
to the Christian faith. I know
you’ve gotten some opposition
but I honor you for keeping right
on. You are amazing!
The care, compassion, sincerity and
love that comes across in your
voice and through your spirit truly
brings one to the presence that we
all seek.
I too have had a ministry that has
reached over into what many might
consider ‘New Thought’ or even
‘New Age’. The reality is, God has
given me favor to speak at conferences
and influence some major speakers
and authors in the personal growth
field. I’m using it all to do what
He’s put me here to do.
I’m with you all the way, sweet lady.
LOVE what you’re doing. Standing up
and cheering you on!
Loads of love in grace,
5Michael Murphy
Thank you for wonderful comments!
