From Darkness to Divine Peace: My Journey to Healing
Hi, I’m Rhonda Jones. For four long years, I lived in a shadow. Despite being a believer, I battled a deep, heavy depression that felt impossible to lift. I did everything I was “supposed” to do: I prayed, I went to counseling, and I tried medication. But the relief I was looking for remained just out of reach.
Everything changed one afternoon in a school parking lot.
Overwhelmed by emotional pain, I sat in my car and just started to breathe. With every exhale, I whispered, “I release this pain.” After just ten minutes of focused breathing and leaning into God’s presence, something miraculous happened—the pain vanished. In that stillness, I heard God’s voice clearly: Your thoughts are the root.
I realized I had been “renewing my mind” with criticism and negativity instead of His truth. That day was the beginning of my restoration.

The Birth of The Christian Meditator
Over the next six months, I developed a practice of combining deep relaxation with specific Holy Scriptures to quiet my mind and banish negative thinking.
Not only did my depression lift, but my intimacy with God deepened in ways I never thought possible through silence and solitude.
In 2005, I felt led to share these tools with other believers who were “silently struggling.” What started as a single CD, Controlling Negative Thoughts, has grown into a library of over 100 Christ-centered meditations, affirmations, the Christian Meditation Journal book, the 40-Day Biblical Soul Reset Program, and more.
Today, I’ve had the privilege of helping hundreds of thousands of believers worldwide move from “surviving” to “thriving.”
Christian meditation is simply learning to “take every thought captive."
