Christian meditation, Christian yoga, soaking in God’s presence, and meditating on his word are my attempts to abide in God’s presence, to worship Him in spirit and in truth. You may have your own methods.
Many Christians see yoga as an obstruction to Christianity. I see it as an enhancement. Like meditation, Christ-centered yoga acts as a chasm or tunnel that ushers me into the deeper chambers (the presence) of God.
I recently received a letter asking, what kind of Christian are you because I don’t believe that practicing yoga, or Christian yoga is anti-god and God told me not to become a slave to fear.
The majority of Christians who practice yoga know where their allegiance lies and they’re not so easily persuaded or manipulated. We know that Jesus is our Lord and we can use yoga to strengthen our relationship with him.
