Activating the Gifts of the Spirit Video Series

Are you seeking to be used by God in a greater way in 2015? If so, you’ll enjoy this life-changing (and free) 5-part video series titled, “Activating the Gifts of the Spirit,”  by Mike Connell. The New Zealand pastor is an internationally recognized teacher of the Word who moves powerfully in prophetic, deliverance, and inner healing gifts.

Several months ago I joined the healing rooms  team ministry at my church, Oasis Mission Church in Sacramento. Every Thursday from 6:30- 9:00 p.m., except during holidays, people come from all over city for prayer and healing.  They come for healing of their bodies, relationships, and emotions. It is such a blessing seeing people come in burdened and leave feeling lighter and freer. I had never heard of the healing rooms before coming to this church, which is one of the things that drew me here. Along with salvation, I believe that a huge part of Jesus’s ministry was to heal the sick and cast out demons. Unfortunately, you don’t see much of this in the church today.

Mark 16:17-18 declares, “And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”

Like me, you might have a desire to be used of God in a greater way and become more of a participant than a spectator.  That has been my prayer in 2014, “Lord, show me your glory and use me in a greater way.” In addition to praying, I am also continuing to seek out opportunities to grow in this area.  Later this month, I will attend a Supernatural Healing and Impartation Conference in Redding, California. During the day, we will learn how to move in the gifts of healing and in the evening we will have the opportunity to practice and pray for others. I am so excited!

I believe that fear and ignorance are the greatest obstacles to moving in the realm of the supernatural where we can continually experience God’s healing and delivering power. I am delighted to discover ministries devoted to equipping the saints in the area of spiritual gifts. However, once we have the knowledge and training, we must begin to step out in faith so that we can practice what we have learned. This definitely takes courage and the help of the Holy Spirit.

If you want to learn how to be in the forefront of what God is doing, then you will love the “Activating the Spiritual Gifts” YouTube Series  below. It is the most simplistic and clearly outlined training that I have ever watched on this topic. In Part 1 you’ll learn the requirements for being used by God. You’ll be surprised to know that there aren’t any, besides being born-again. It doesn’t matter if you’ve been saved one day or 20 years, you can manifest God’s gifts. In Parts 2-4, the videos cover how to hear God’s voice as well as how to activate the gifts including the word of knowledge,  words of wisdom, tongues, prophesy, and discerning of spirits with lots of practice and demonstrations. In Part 5, Connell discusses meditation and inner healing, gift of faith, healing, and gift of miracles.. You will also learn the obstacles or blocks to operating in the Spirit. Most of these have to do with a cluttered mind and fear-based thinking. Connell states that when we focus on our own shortcomings, we shut out the voice of God.  It is never us, but God doing the work; therefore, the only prerequisite to walking in supernatural healing is hearing God’s voice, a willing heart, and stepping out in faith.

As you listen to or after completing the training, please leave any comments about how they have impacted your life. Also share any testimonies regarding praying for others, whether their healing manifested or not. Just stepping out in faith to pray for others is a great accomplishment if you’re not used to doing it.  I pray that these videos will get you excited about the great commission as they have for me. Declaration Prayer for Moving in the Gifts of the Spirit:

In Part 5 of the video series, Pastor Connells admonishes those who want to flow in the gifts of the Spirit to continually practice as well as build their faith by reading the gospels and praying words of faith over their lives. I took some of the declarations he spoke and created a daily prayer and declaration. Having the courage and faith to operate in the gifts will be deeply impacted on our desire to be used by God as well as our fellowship with Him. Therefore, we must consistently fill our hearts with God’s love, peace, presence, and faith. “Those who hunger and thirst after righteous shall be filled. “ (Matthew 5:6)  Remember, if we don’t use it, we will use it.  I would also recommend listening to the video series over and over, as I plan to do.

Daily Prayer and Declaration for Walking in the Supernatural Healing Power of God:

I declare that I am operating in the gifts of the Holy Spirit with signs and wonders being manifested through me. Lord, this day, bring people into my life people who are ready to receive from you. Lord, give me words of knowledge, wisdom, discerning of spirits, and prophesy, so that I may minister to people and that they can see your love and power. When I see someone who is sick, I will offer to pray for them. I will start where I am, knowing that it is God who does the work, and I am just a vessel for his use. I declare that I will spend time in God’s presence, meditate on his word, declutter and quiet my mind, and read scriptures of Jesus healing to prepare myself for ministering to others, hearing God’s voice, building my faith, and  becoming “one” with God in mind, body, and spirit.  

Lord, I thank you that when I lay hands on the sick they will recover. When I lay hands on blinded eyes they will see. I picture, see, imagine, and hold these healings to be true in my life even before they happen.  Therefore, I believe it, BEFORE I see it.  I thank you Lord that when I pray, deaf ears will open. I thank you Lord that when I minister to people your presence touches them in powerful way.

Today, Lord I surrender my hands and yield all the works of my hands to you. My hands are blessed. When I lay hands on people, the power of God will touch them. Today, Lord bring someone into my life who is in need of prayer or help and show them to me in a way that I can see it. 

Lord remove from my heart any internal blocks, fears, and hindrances that might be inhibiting me from effectively ministering to others or stopping the flow of your Spirit in and through me. I can do all things through Christ who gives me the strength. I am filled with God’s faith, love, and courage. I am more than a conqueror in Christ Jesus who loves me. This is my declaration. Amen
