The Bible tells us the write the vision on the wall and make it plan. If you are a Christian without a vision, you may be missing out on fulfilling your purpose and valuable opportunities.
Many Christians use scripture like, “by this stripes we were healed” to claim God’s health and healing over illness and disease, and although healing is from God, for the Christian, prevention should always be first and foremost.
What is the importance of silence and solitude to the Christian? If we will start the day with meditation, the word of God, and prayer, we create a space for the Lord’s guidance, wisdom, and blessings.
It was Christian Meditation integrated with the scriptures that helped me overcome years of depression. Meditation is a tool used to quiet our minds and create a greater space for God in our lives.
“For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not evil, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will hear you. You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart.
Our relationship with the Lord is a journey, a journey where we will struggle and undergo many trials. But fret not, the Lord has promised to be with us.
Is a sermon about contemplation and meditation enough for Christians to make time with God a daily practice? Do pastors not only need to talk about reverent silence, contemplation, and Christian meditation, but practice it as a body as well? And if so, how?
Christian meditation is like a daily shower of my mind. It’s where I can dissolve any fears, worries, stresses, or the onset of negative or toxic emotions lingering near by.
Daily meditation helps us to break the emotional-food cycle by making us more aware of our mental, emotional, and physical processes.
The problem with resolutions is that they’re only skin deep. You make a proclamation and then you use your willpower to try to fulfill it or make it happen. The Bible says that the spirit is willing but the flesh is weak.
Jesus said that if you the faith of a mustard seed that you can tell this mountain to be cast into the sea and it must obey you. Many believers are living with mountains in their life that God wants to tear down. Often we see mountains as external forces that keep us from meeting our goals; however, many of the mountains we face our internal. These are mountains of fear, self-doubt, un-forgiveness, unbelief, and more.
The biggest challenges that we face come from preconceived notions that a loving God must always meet our desires with pleasant and delightful moments. We often feel that we should be exempt from bitter, nasty, and even sickening moments; however, we discover that those exemptions do not apply.
Eat, Pray, and Love provides Christians, and others, with some valuable lessons and spiritual disciplines that can enhance their life and relationship with God.
