Is Christian Meditation Biblical?

Question: Is Christian Meditation Biblical?

Answer:  One of my favorite scriptures is from Joshua 1:8. It reads, “Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful.”

According to the scripture, meditating on God equals success. I don’t think the real question is whether meditation is Biblical. I believe the big question amongst believers is “how” do we meditate on the Lord.

There are many forms of meditation that Christians will benefit from.  Some of these are Scripture meditation, soaking on God’s spirit, or even just meditating on a scriptural passage or word, like a mantra. If you want more details about how to meditate on God, please view the youtube video I created title, Should Christians Meditate and If So How?   Also, here is a link to an older article I wrote on Christian Meditation Techniques.  It doesn’t include Scripture Meditation which I now encourage.
